How would your perfect trip look like?

Hmm. Difficult question. I have a lot of perfect trips I’d like to take. I’ll limit my response to discussing my top few.
- Road trip across the US. I’d love to just pack up an old station wagon (like this old Volvo) and drive. I’d like to see Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, Seattle, San Francisco (again), Salinas Valley, LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Austin, New Orleans, Charleston (to break up an otherwise long stretch of travel), Washington DC, NYC, Boston, Cedar Point in Ohio, then back home to Chicago. Sure, it’s a massive drive, but just taking three weeks and driving with someone special or some close friends around the country would be amazing. Here’s a map of the trip:
- Revisit Europe. Last time, I was there with a group from my university and we had to go to scheduled classes and tours—leaving us with only about half the time to ourselves. It was tons of fun, but this time I’d make more plans to country-hop. I’d definitely want to visit Austria again, but I’d also like to see Germany, France, England, and Ireland.
- Visit Central America. The weather there is gorgeous. And pleasant beaches. And good food.
